Community Group Leader Sign-Ups

At Liberty Church, our mission is to Follow Jesus, Thrive In Community and Make A Difference. One of the key ways in which we help others thrive in community is through Community Groups.

For our Fall 2020 Season we want to encourage people to lead 4 different types of groups:

Freedom Groups
During a 13-week Small Groups semester, Freedom Groups gather weekly to discuss the Freedom Small Group curriculum, which is designed to equip you to live the victorious and abundant life Christ came to give you. Freedom Groups build on the foundation of your faith in Christ to help you embrace the truth of God’s Word as it relates to your worldview, your past, your sin, your personal value to God, and your purpose in His Kingdom. This group will help you remove every obstacle to intimacy with God and walk in true freedom. **If you are interested in leading a Freedom Group email [email protected] as we will have a special training for these groups the first 2 weeks of September.

Park Picnics
“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper[a]), and to prayer.” – Acts 2:42
Park picnics are a way to gather weekly in a socially distanced & simple way to have community (fellowship) with one another. Share a meal, share a word, and share community!

Message Recap (discussing the message from Sunday)
Message recap groups are way to keep the conversation from Sunday going. Often times we hear the message on Sunday and want to talk about it with someone or see how it is resonating with others and this is a great space to do that. I personally have led this kind of group the past couple of seasons and it has been encouraging for me to hear how the message from Sunday is impacting others.

A Bible or Book Study
A Bible or Book Study group is when you decide to go through a book of the bible or to go through a faith based book together as a group. These are great groups for people who want to study the word or study a specific topic in relation to faith with other people.

The Community Group season runs from September 21st – December 13th
